SANCTUARY — REBORN · WORLD OVERVIEW
Sanctuary — Reborn
Sanctuary again — decades later, reshaped by Lilith's return and the fall of Inarius, spread across five open regions instead of a chain of levels.
Overview
Diablo IV returns to the same world as the earlier games, generations after Diablo III, and opens it up into a single continuous map rather than discrete acts. Lilith's return sets the campaign in motion, and the world keeps evolving afterward through seasonal storylines layered on top of the base map.
Five regions make up Sanctuary in this game — Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Dry Steppes, Kehjistan, and Hawezar — each with its own capital, world events, and dungeons.
Notable Regions
Kyovashad
Fractured Peaks' capital, and the campaign's early hub.
Cerrigar
Scosglen's central settlement, deep in witch territory.
Zarbinzet
Kehjistan's largest city, and a major late-game hub.
Kurast Bazaar
A reclaimed market quarter of Kurast, deep in the jungles of Nahantu.
Temis
A marble city in the Skovos Isles, ruled by Queen Adreona and her Amazon warriors.
The Den
A hollowed-out cave hideout, home to a handful of hired hands.
