The Homestead Ledger

Homestead's bounty table covers more ground than Devil's Crossing ever did — here's where all twenty targets actually are.

The situation

The board gets bigger before it gets easier

By the time Homestead's bounty table opens up, the world has widened considerably. Devil's Crossing kept most of its targets within a few connected zones around Old Arkovia and Burrwitch. Homestead doesn't offer that convenience — its twenty bounties are scattered across farmland, mountain caverns, a troll-infested pass, and at least one target so far out of the way that clearing it isn't worth doing unless you're already headed there for something else.

That spread is exactly why the board is worth mapping out ahead of time rather than reading each bounty cold. Knowing which zone a target belongs to before you accept the job saves a lot of backtracking.

The method

Group the twenty before you chase any of them

01

The mechanics haven't changed

Same rules as any faction table: up to five bounties available at once, one active per faction at a time, and named targets only become killable for credit once their bounty is active. Pre-clearing an area before taking the matching bounty just means the target respawns when you finally accept it.

02

This board rewards knowing the map, not the monster

Devil's Crossing bounties clustered tightly enough that memorizing four zones covered nearly everything. Homestead's spread is wider, but it still resolves into recognizable clusters — the farmlands and their Dermapteran hive complex, the corrupted approaches to Homestead itself, the beast territory to the south, the Mountain Deeps, Smuggler's Pass, and a couple of outliers that don't belong to any cluster at all.

03

Save the outliers for when you're already passing through

A couple of targets — Bloodfeast in particular — sit far enough from the usual travel routes that chasing the bounty in isolation wastes more time than it's worth. Pick those up only when a main quest or another errand is already taking you that direction.

The board

Where all twenty actually are

The farmlands — Rotting Croplands, Infested Farm, Royal Hive, Den of the Lost

The Dermapteran hive complex accounts for the largest share of the board, seven bounties in total.

  • Harvestmen — Haunted Harvesters found in the Rotting Croplands and The Conflagration.
  • Weavils — Dermapteran Weavils spawning in large numbers around the Rotting Croplands and the Infested Farm.
  • Vizier Haxin — three possible spawn points around the Infested Farm.
  • The Locust — deep inside the Royal Hive, in either the Swarming Hatchery, the Skittering Den, or the Hive Queen's Lair.
  • The Grand Viziers — two separate targets, Lozakal and Inixil, both found in the Royal Hive.
  • Queen Ravna — the Hive Queen's Lair, same general area as The Locust.
  • The Deepdweller — Gollus, found in the Den of the Lost, a cave system connected to the same farmland complex.

The corrupted approaches — The Conflagration, Withering Fields, Prospector's Trail

  • Aetherial Vanguard — Fleshwarped Vanguards found in The Conflagration and along Prospector's Trail.
  • Dominators — Aetherial Dominators found just outside Homestead itself, in the Withering Fields and The Conflagration.

Beast territory — Jagged Waste, Pine Barrens, Shaded Basin, Blood Grove

  • Manticore Alphas — Manticores are common throughout the Jagged Waste, but Alphas spawn rarely and mostly in the western half. Mogara, the Prime Matriarch, counts toward the total.
  • Briarthorns — Briarthorn Monstrosities spawn across the Pine Barrens, Jagged Waste, and Shaded Basin; Bloodbriar's Lair is usually the fastest single stop.
  • The Gloomweaver — Ungoliax, found in the Forgotten Depths within the Shaded Basin caverns.

The Mountain Deeps

  • Cavern Crawlers — Pale or Albino Cavern Crawlers found throughout the Mountain Deeps.
  • The Lifedrinker — Glukrog, with four possible spawn points inside the same cave system.

Smuggler's Pass and Smuggler's Basin

  • Stonewart Trolls — found throughout Smuggler's Pass.
  • Marrowdrinker — Bogloth, with three separate spawn points within Smuggler's Pass.
  • The Maneater — Gutworm, located in Smuggler's Basin near Burrwitch; the cave entrance itself has more than one possible location.

The outliers

  • Phabius — Phabius Crowsworth can turn up in several places tied to Burrwitch: near the riftgate by the waterside, behind a house near a graveyard, on either side of the Warden's house in Burrwitch Estates, or down by the docks at the Abandoned Waterfront.
  • Bloodfeast — a dranghoul in Tyrant's Hold, far enough out that the trip alone can take a while; best saved for when another quest already has you there.

Delivery bounty — no location at all

  • Scrap — hand over five Scrap, pulled from your stash or farmed as needed.

The mixup

Three spots where the board gets confusing

Weavils has moved before. Older records point to the Rotting Croplands; more recent reports place them at the Infested Farm. Both sit in the same general farmland stretch, so if one doesn't turn up enough targets, check the other before assuming something's wrong.

Bloodfeast is a guaranteed spawn, not a random one — the trouble is almost always the location, not the target. He's a fixed boss in Tyrant's Hold itself, not somewhere in the surrounding wilds, and not in Fort Ikon. If a full sweep of the hold doesn't turn him up, double-check that you're actually in the right structure.

Phabius has more possible locations than almost anything else on the board. Between Burrwitch Village, Burrwitch Estates, and the Abandoned Waterfront, there are at least five distinct spots he can appear. Treat this one as a multi-zone search from the start rather than expecting a single stop to cover it.

Summary

  1. Homestead's bounty table works the same way Devil's Crossing's does — up to five active at once, one per faction, and no credit for a kill made before the bounty was accepted.
  2. Seven of the twenty cluster around the Dermapteran hive complex in the farmlands.
  3. Two sit in the corrupted approaches just outside Homestead, three in the beast territory to the south, and two more in the Mountain Deeps.
  4. Smuggler's Pass and Smuggler's Basin account for three, with Phabius and Bloodfeast standing apart from every other cluster.
  5. Scrap is the only pure delivery bounty on this board — no fight required if you're already holding the materials.
