Notes
Outland is what's left of Draenor after Ner'zhul's failed ritual to close the Dark Portal tore the world apart instead, leaving fractured islands drifting in the Twisting Nether. The Burning Crusade — the game's first expansion — sent players through the Dark Portal to find fel orcs, the Illidari, and Illidan Stormrage's Black Temple waiting for them.
Zones like Hellfire Peninsula, Nagrand, and Shadowmoon Valley carry the scars of Draenor's destruction everywhere, and the fight against Illidan and Kael'thas defined an entire era of the game.
