Khaz Algar sat undiscovered beneath Azeroth for the game's entire history until The War Within expansion pulled players underground to find it — home to the Earthen (kin to the dwarves, still bound by Titan directives), the Arathi who fled there generations ago, and the industrious Kobolds.
Its discovery ties directly into the Titans' unfinished work on Azeroth and the growing threat of the Nerubians and the Black Empire stirring below — the deepest the war for Azeroth's fate has ever gone.
