The Broken Isles are what remains of ancient Suramar, home to the Broken and Withered — night elves and Eredar twisted by millennia of fel exposure. Dalaran relocated here at the start of the Legion expansion, making the Isles the operational hub for the war against the Burning Legion.
Beneath the Isles lies the Tomb of Sargeras itself, and the zone's questlines tie together class order halls, the Pillars of Creation, and the long-buried history of the night elves' fall from grace.
